Resident Salary and Benefits

Geisinger offers a very generous salary and benefits package to its residents.  This includes:

Salary by Year of Training

  • PGY1   $65, 603 

​

Vacation/CME Time Away Allowances:

  • Five CME meeting days for R-2 and above

  • 15 working days per year

  • Expenses and time away for paper/poster presentations at national conferences, as approved by the GME Office

​

CME/Moving Expenses:

  • $750 reimbursement for moving expenses

  • R1 – $750 for books/journal subscriptions

  • R2 and greater – $2,500 per year for books and CME

  • Five relocation days
